This two day hands-on workshop is instructor led and covers the most important concepts and topics surrounding how to use Microsoft Visual Studio to create Web based software applications and data driven Web sites. It covers core .Net concepts, Visual Studio functionality and key Web languages and concepts including CSS, JavaScript, XHTML, AJAX and more. It is intended to provide a foundation and the initial hands-on experience necessary to begin developing and deploying Web software applications in the real world.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is best suited for people who have an interest in becoming Web application developers. Ideal students will want to learn and develop skills necessary to create robust and complete data driven Web applications. They will also desire a basic knowledge of the .Net framework concepts and Visual Studio development environment.

Prerequisites & Recommended Preparatory Training

Students should have a basic understanding of generic Web development with some exposure to HTML and related topics. Ideally, students will also have at least a limited background in programming or scripting (such as VBA). Basic knowledge of databases and SQL is also helpful, but not required. Recommended preparatory courses include:

- SQL Level 1
- SQL Level 2
